Steve Hong

Steve Hong is a highly respected and accomplished trainer for his age and we are excited to have him join the K-9 Behavior Services' team. His credentials as a trainer are hard to match and Steve is well versed on working with all types of dogs with all sorts of issues. Not only is Steve great with dogs, he is great with people and loves to teach both equally.

Steve Hong was nothing short of groomed to be a dog trainer, his father raised, trained, and competed dogs throughout Steve’s childhood in Korea and continued when they moved to the United States. Steve was learning training and breeding from the very beginning, handling and showing numerous dogs as a child, gained valuable experience during that time, and has owned and handled many different breeds of dogs, ranging from Korean Jindos to Pomeranians. From that time up to the present, Steve has traveled the world and competed at some of the highest levels of competition in the very competitive sport of Schutzhund with his German Shepherds and the occasional Belgian Malinois by his side. Steve has also specialized in the handling and training of Pit Bulls, a breed he has loved for many years and understands well.

Steve’s talents in dog training include basic to advanced obedience, protection training, sport/competition training, service work, movie work, aggression issues and puppy training.

A word from Steve Hong:

As a professional and experienced dog trainer on the east coast, I spend my days engaged in my passion, dog training. Being a part of the K-9 Behavior Services team, I am now able to take my skills to a wider range of people. Although each individual will choose different dog trainers for different reasons, I feel that the one common goal is, results. I fit well with the concepts that K-9 Behavior Services preaches, because I too have the ability to get reliable results with dogs through balanced training. Too many dog trainers today do not understand the concept of balanced dog training. I am greatly looking forward to meeting new clients and having the opportunity to teach people how to build their dogs character through balanced dog training techniques that I have learned through many, many years of dog training experience.
